About the Role
We are currently looking for a dedicated APS6 Outreach Program Coordinator to join a vital mental health service. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of those who have served, providing coordination, support, and program management. The role is initially a 12-month full time temprary contract with potential for extension based in Cranbrook QLD.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with outreach providers and stakeholders.
- Facilitate communication and coordinate activities within the Outreach Provider Program.
- Provide onboarding, training, and ongoing support to providers.
- Manage referrals, assessments, and suitability reviews for partnership opportunities.
- Maintain and update provider databases, ensuring up-to-date information for team members.
- Support the development and delivery of psychoeducational groups and workshops tailored to veterans and their families.
- Address and resolve concerns or issues raised by providers or clients effectively.
- Participate in CPD activities and clinical supervision to maintain professional registration and skills.
- Contribute to community engagement projects and service improvements based on program feedback and evaluation.
The ideal candidate will bring a compassionate attitude, experience in mental health or community services, and a passion for helping veterans and their families. You’ll thrive in this role if you have excellent communication skills, strong organisational abilities, and a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
You’ll need:
- Relevant qualifications such as Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Nurse (AHPRA registered), Social Worker (AASW member), or a Master’s-level Counselling qualification with PACFA or ACA registration.
- Experience in program coordination, community engagement, or mental health support.
- Ability to build rapport with diverse groups and handle complex situations with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Current Working with Vulnerable People check or the ability to obtain one.
