We’re seeking a proactive and organised APS5 Executive Assistant for a full-time, 12-month temporary contract, with potential for extension. Based in Canberra, you’ll provide top-notch administrative support to senior management, helping to keep operations seamless and efficient. Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage incoming correspondence, ensuring timely follow-up and actioning.
  • Coordinate and prioritise diary appointments, meetings, and key deadlines.
  • Support front-of-house functions—greeting visitors, setting up meeting rooms, and handling phone and email correspondence.
  • Exercise initiative and sound judgment in providing high-level administrative support.
  • Assist with other administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of daily operations.
About You:

  • Previous experience as an executive or administrative assistant, ideally in a government organisation.
  • Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks efficiently.
  • Professional, approachable, and proactive attitude.
  • Ability to obtain a baseline security clearance.
  • Strong team player with a positive outlook and willingness to help others.
