We are seeking an APS4 Service Liaison Officer to join our client’s People Advisory Centre (PAC). The successful candidate will provide high-quality advice on people-related matters, support HR processes, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Based in Brisbane, Robina, or Burnie, this position offers a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver excellent customer service through consistent, high-quality advice on people-related issues using the PAC knowledge database.
  • Liaise with staff via telephone and email, providing accurate and timely information on HR matters.
  • Assist senior PAC staff and specialised teams in resolving complex or sensitive personnel queries.
  • Escalate complicated issues appropriately and support the resolution process.
  • Undertake payroll and human resource processing within SAP-Essentials, ensuring accurate staff records.
  • Provide on-the-job training and support to PAC Service Officers, including performance feedback.
  • Maintain and update the PAC information database with relevant legislation, policies, and FAQs.
  • Complete administrative tasks such as raising purchase orders, reconciling monthly accruals, and ordering supplies.
  • Support the induction of new staff with equipment, training, and orientation activities.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to efficiency enhancements.
About You
The ideal candidate will bring a proactive approach and strong communication skills to this varied and vital role. You will have experience working in a busy HR or customer service environment and possess a solid understanding of HR systems and legislation.

  • Demonstrated ability to critically analyse and respond effectively to customer enquiries.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong customer engagement and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of computer literacy, particularly with spreadsheets and database applications.
  • Organised, able to prioritise tasks and manage competing deadlines.
  • Knowledge of privacy principles, WHS policies, records management, HR policies, and employment legislation.
  • Experience with SAP-Essentials or similar HR/payroll systems is desirable.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
