Chandler Macleod is recruiting on behalf of our client for a dedicated APS4 Project Officer to join a busy team on a short-term contract. This role provides operational and administrative support within a government department focused on delivering important social programs. The successful candidate will help coordinate project activities, engage with stakeholders, and ensure smooth delivery of key initiatives, all while working within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the development and management of project plans and schedules
  • Providing advice and administrative assistance to team members and stakeholders
  • Conducting research and analysis to support ongoing projects
  • Contributing to regular project reporting and documentation
  • Monitoring project budgets and processing payments
  • Building and maintaining rapport with internal and external stakeholders
  • Assisting in drafting reports, briefs, and project documentation
  • Tracking project milestones and deadlines to ensure timely delivery
  • Supporting the organisation of workshops, seminars, and other events
About You
The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and possess strong organisational skills. You’ll enjoy working in a team, communicating effectively, and managing multiple tasks efficiently. Experience in a similar administrative or project support role within government or large organisations will be highly regarded.
