We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented APS 4 Administration Officer for a full time ongoing role. This role will provide reliable administrative and operational support. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes in a busy team environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support, including scheduling, travel coordination, meeting preparation, and record keeping.

  • Monitor and respond to enquiries, correspondence, and shared mailboxes, escalating as required.

  • Assist with the planning and delivery of events, workshops, or training sessions, including logistics, participant registration, and materials.

  • Support the preparation and distribution of documents, reports, and resources.

  • Undertake data entry and maintain internal databases and records accurately.

  • Provide procurement and finance processing support, including raising purchase orders and processing invoices.

  • Contribute to a positive workplace culture and ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures.

Skills and Experience
  • Demonstrated experience providing administrative support in a government or corporate environment.

  • Cultural competency and an understanding of issues affecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples are highly regarded.

  • Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to quickly learn new systems.

  • Initiative, flexibility, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Eligibility

  • The successful candidate may be required to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
