We’re looking for Administration Officers to join our federal government client based in Armidale. This role has become available as part of our ongoing effort to streamline and improve our application processing and client support functions. If you’re organised, detail-oriented, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this could be a great opportunity for you. You’ll play a key part in managing data, supporting stakeholder relationships, and assisting with administrative processes that keep our operations running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and respond to emails in the general mailbox, escalating issues when needed
- Build and maintain positive relationships with team members and external stakeholders
- Provide basic advice using sound judgement, resolving client enquiries efficiently
- Develop knowledge of our operational policies and legislative framework
- Use databases and information systems to input, extract, and verify data for accuracy
- Support the preparation of manuals, reports, guidelines, and policies
- Assist with data entry, record keeping, and maintaining data integrity
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational projects
- Manage workload effectively to meet deadlines and team goals
The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in performing administrative tasks with high attention to detail, including data entry and record keeping
- Confidence in using Microsoft Office tools and other computer software
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment, managing multiple priorities without losing accuracy
- Strong team player mindset, with a willingness to learn new skills and identify areas for improvement
- Experience handling confidential information with professionalism
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and stakeholders
- (Desirable) Experience working with large data sets or understanding regulatory frameworks
