AO8 Manager - Social Outcomes Advisor (Embedded)
Brisbane CBD / Hybrid
12 Month Assignment (with possible extension)
$95.48 per hour + super
An opportunity is available for a highly experienced Social Outcomes and Local Benefits Advisor
to play a pivotal role in delivering the social and local benefits objectives of a major government infrastructure program. This embedded position will drive initiatives that support workforce development, strengthen local business participation, and deliver meaningful outcomes for communities across Queensland.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the implementation of workforce training, apprenticeships and traineeships in line with government policy
- Promoting local workforce recruitment, employment pathways and regional economic participation
- Developing and supporting strategies to enhance diversity and inclusion, including opportunities for women, First Nations peoples, culturally and linguistically diverse groups, young people and older workers
- Driving initiatives to increase local business and SME involvement, including social enterprises and community-based organisations
- Supporting First Nations participation strategies, including long-term employment and business capability building
- Embedding cultural awareness and community benefit initiatives across the project corridor
- Providing accurate reporting and compliance monitoring in line with government requirements
About you:
You will have a proven track record in implementing and monitoring social outcomes and local benefits frameworks within complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Strong knowledge of Queensland Government procurement, training and social policy frameworks is required, along with the ability to influence outcomes through collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
Requirements of the role:
- Demonstrated success in delivering social outcomes initiatives on major projects
- Strong understanding of Queensland Government policy frameworks (procurement, training, Indigenous participation, local content)
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills across government, industry and community groups
- High-level written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare reports, strategies and key messaging
- Experience in large infrastructure or construction projects is desirable, but transferable skills from other sectors will be considered
