We’re seeking a solutions-focused Principal Infrastructure Services Officer to lead strategic maintenance planning across Queensland’s education infrastructure. You’ll be part of a high-performing team responsible for shaping long-term asset management strategies for schools, staff housing, and early childhood education centres.

With a strong focus on policy development, program evaluation, and data-driven decision-making, this role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments and is passionate about delivering tangible outcomes for communities.


Your key responsibilities include:

  • Developing policies, strategies, and methodologies to support effective asset maintenance and lifecycle planning.
  • Leading the planning, evaluation, and improvement of maintenance programs across diverse education assets.
  • Analysing data to inform funding allocations and long-term investment decisions.
  • Providing high-level advice and preparing reports, ministerial correspondence, and briefing materials.
  • Managing relationships with service delivery partners and leading a small team focused on future maintenance pipelines.

About You:
You’re a proactive leader with a background in infrastructure planning, asset management, or a related field. You bring a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and a collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement.
You’ll bring:
  • Proven experience in policy development, program evaluation, and data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of asset management principles and maintenance planning.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership in team and project environments.
  • Experience working within government or large-scale infrastructure programs (highly regarded).
