AO5 Graphic Designer – Government Contract

$69.21 – $75.09 per hour + Super

An experienced AO5 Graphic Designer is sought to deliver high-quality creative and digital design solutions supporting regional stakeholder and community engagement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop strategic, brand-aligned design solutions across print and digital platforms
• Provide advice on branding and whole-of-government requirements
• Design publications, presentations, social media content, advertising, and digital assets
• Translate complex information into clear visual communications
• Manage workflow, deadlines, and competing priorities
• Liaise with external suppliers to ensure quality and brand consistency
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary and departmental design teams

Mandatory Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ graphic/digital design experience
• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience
• Advanced Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office skills
• Experience delivering creative work within large corporate or government environments
• Strong organisational, problem-solving, and time management skills
• Experience working within corporate brand guidelines

Desirable:

• Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards
• Experience with workflow tools (e.g. Asana)
• Understanding of Queensland Government processes
• Videography or animation skills advantageous
