AO4 Support Officer – General Manager
Location: Berrinba
Salary:$60 per hour + super
Hours: Full-time, 36.25 hours per week
Contract: ASAP start – 26 February 2026
 
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive AO4 Support Officer to provide exceptional executive and administrative support to the General Manager of Operations. This role requires a discreet, detail-focused professional who can manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and service delivery.
 
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Delivering high-level, confidential secretarial and administrative support, including comprehensive diary management and email monitoring for the General Manager of Operations.
  • Exercising sound judgement to autonomously redirect and respond to matters within defined boundaries, screening calls and preventing unnecessary interruptions.
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the General Manager is fully briefed and prepared for meetings, including the coordination of required documentation and attendees.
  • Applying effective problem-solving skills to resolve issues where procedures may be unclear or not fully defined.
  • Managing paper and electronic records in accordance with established information management principles, ensuring sensitive information is securely handled and maintained.
  • Coordinating appointments, meetings, and events, including venue bookings, travel and accommodation arrangements, expense claims, and the distribution of correspondence and communications.
  • Providing meeting support such as preparing agendas, papers and minutes, prioritising correspondence, and responding to outstanding queries.
  • Working closely with business units to ensure departmental standards are met for all outgoing correspondence.
  • Assisting with the management of departmental and ministerial correspondence to ensure all deadlines and reporting obligations are met.
  • Maintaining a high level of accuracy in all documentation, adhering to style guides, templates, and corporate standards.
  • Supporting the General Manager with a variety of administrative tasks, including secretarial duties, reception responsibilities, and routine customer enquiries as required.
  • Contributing to a high-performing team through active participation in quality improvement activities and accuracy checks.
  • Supporting a positive and collaborative office culture through strong interpersonal communication and a commitment to delivering timely, high-quality administrative services.
