AO3 – Project Support Officer
Pay Rate:$49.40 – $54.81 / Hour
Location: Brisbane CBD
Contract: 12 Months with Possible Extension

About the Role:

We are seeking an organised and proactive Project Support Officer to join a high-performing government team based in Brisbane CBD. In this AO3 level role, you will play a key part in supporting the delivery of a major infrastructure project by providing a broad range of administrative and coordination support.
You will work closely with senior advisors and project staff, ensuring the smooth operation of day-to-day activities and effective stakeholder engagement.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide professional, timely, and confidential administrative support to the project team
  • Assist with diary and enquiry management for senior leadership
  • Coordinate meetings, agendas, and prepare documents for distribution
  • Manage HR and procurement-related administrative tasks in line with governance requirements
  • Handle internal and external enquiries, liaising with stakeholders at all levels
  • Support onboarding and development initiatives within the project team
  • Promote and contribute to a proactive, performance-focused culture

About You:
  • Highly organised with strong administrative and coordination skills
  • Demonstrated experience working in a large infrastructure project
  • Experienced in managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • An effective communicator who can engage confidently with diverse stakeholders
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset
  • Comfortable supporting large project teams (experience in a project environment is highly regarded)

Requirements:
  • Criminal history check prior to appointment
  • Current Class C Driver’s Licence (desirable)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, up to 40 hours per week.
