About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and motivated AO3 Business Support Officer
to provide comprehensive administrative, operational and digital support to a Queensland Government business unit. The successful candidate will contribute to the efficient delivery of services by supporting day-to-day operations, assisting with digital initiatives, and enabling effective communication and coordination across the team.
Key Responsibilities
The Business Support Officer will:
- Provide accurate, timely and high-quality administrative support, including general team assistance, asset management, budget tracking, meeting coordination, note-taking, word processing, database administration, email and calendar management, electronic document management and preparation of documentation.
- Support digital project activities by updating the Partners’ eHub, distributing e-newsletters, assisting with webinar delivery and undertaking other digital support tasks.
- Co-ordinate team and stakeholder meetings, prepare agendas, and record and distribute minutes as required.
- Compile written documents and reports, maintain spreadsheets and registers, and provide information and data in a timely and accurate manner.
- Respond promptly to information requests and escalate or relay relevant updates to the Senior Leadership Team when appropriate.
- Prioritise and manage workload effectively, work autonomously, maintain confidentiality, meet deadlines and demonstrate initiative to support seamless team operations.
- Communicate clearly and professionally, exhibiting cultural awareness, sensitivity, diplomacy and discretion when engaging with staff and external stakeholders.
- Participate in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of internal systems, processes and work practices.
- Undertake additional duties as required to support the operational needs of the business unit.

- Assessment of eligibility and demonstrated capability to meet AO3 role requirements, including the quality and effectiveness of performance in previous positions.
