Analyst (Smelter)| Brisbane CBD Based Role 


Chandler Macleod is proud to partner with a leading mining client to monitor, support, and stabilise operations across our client's  Pacific Aluminium smelters.


📍  Location:  Brisbane CBD
📆  Roster: 12.5-hour rotating day/night roster (4, 5, 5)


Key Accountabilities:

• 24/7 monitoring of reduction line operations and smelting processes across Pacific Operations
• Identify operational and technical instabilities, diagnose issues, and prioritise corrective actions
• Collaborate closely with site-based teams to ensure timely and effective intervention
• Engage remotely with technical teams, supervisors, and process controllers, including participation in technical and toolbox meetings
• Promote a standardised approach to work and effective communication across sites
• Conduct site visits to build operational knowledge and strengthen collaboration

• High level of computer literacy and strong verbal communication skills
• Proven ability to manage and influence a wide range of stakeholders
• Demonstrated capability to operate effectively under pressure in dynamic environments
• Strong data analysis skills with the ability to develop options and present recommendations quickly
• Passion for data-driven decision making and continuous improvement
• Flexibility to work rotating shift rosters and provide leave coverage as required

• Smelter operations, heavy industry, or process control experience
• Ability to coach, support, and transfer knowledge to others
• Strong discipline in following procedures and standardised operating approaches
• Team-oriented mindset with a genuine commitment to operational collaboration
