About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Advisor, Injury Management & WorkCover
to join a high‑performing Health, Safety & Wellbeing team. You’ll be responsible for managing a portfolio of workers compensation claims, supporting early intervention, coordinating return‑to‑work programs, and providing expert advice to stakeholders.
This role offers excellent flexibility — after an initial 2‑week onsite onboarding period, you may work from home up to 4 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end WorkCover claims and ensure timely outcomes.
- Conduct detailed case reviews and implement effective claim strategies.
- Coordinate safe, sustainable RTW plans and provide specialist RTW advice.
- Maintain relationships with insurers, health providers, managers, and employees.
- Review incident reports and support early intervention initiatives.
- Maintain accurate case files, injury plans, and documentation.
- Assist with WorkCover payroll accuracy and claims governance.
- Support reporting, administrative tasks, and process improvements.
- 3+ years’ experience in workers compensation, injury management, or claims roles.
- Strong understanding of WorkCover legislation and Victorian workers compensation frameworks.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating RTW programs.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Highly organised, analytical, and able to manage multiple complex cases.
- Experience in the public sector or a large, complex, 24/7 environment.
- Allied health–related qualifications (Exercise Physiology, Physio, OT etc.).
- Experience with claims management systems.
- Customer‑focused approach with strong interpersonal skills.
- High integrity, professionalism, and ability to build trust quickly.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and comfort working in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
- First 2 weeks: Onsite at Burwood East for onboarding and orientation.
- After onboarding: Hybrid – up to 4 days WFH per week depending on business needs.
