Operating in a dynamic, production‑driven environment, they are seeking an Accounts Officer to support their finance operations and contribute to the smooth, efficient running of their day‑to‑day business.
About the Role
As the Accounts Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the Finance Team by handling accounts payable and receivable, assisting with month‑end processes, completing supplier reconciliations, and providing general finance administration. You will help maintain strong financial processes and controls while supporting the Finance Manager and working collaboratively with fellow Accounts Officers.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Assist with accounts payable processing, including reviewing, verifying, coding, matching, and obtaining invoice approvals.
- Support accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, debt collection processes, and issuing monthly statements.
- Ensure accurate cost allocation in line with approved budgets.
- Provide income and GST reports to growers and related parties as required.
- Support daily bank reconciliations and monthly credit card reconciliations.
- Complete general ledger reconciliations and month‑end journals.
- Assist with major supplier reconciliations.
- Perform routine finance data entry.
- Provide payroll assistance when required.
- Recent experience or exposure to accounting support functions such as accounts payable, receivable, or payroll.
- Ability to manage workload, meet deadlines, and maintain high accuracy.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with intermediate Microsoft Excel proficiency (formulas, pivot table understanding).
- Willingness to follow established processes and contribute to continuous improvement.
- Basic understanding of accounting or finance principles.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills; able to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and alignment with organisational values.
