Accountant | Cost Controller | Mining

The Accountant | Cost Controller is required to draw on their strong interpersonal and presentation skills, and expertise in building and managing budgets to assist with the budgeting / finance requirements of the MEM department at the newest site of this mining giant:

• Budget Development and Management, Strategy and Non-Strategy Works
• F05 (actuals and forecast for the FY)
• B00 (2 Yr forecast)
• FTE WTP Budget Development and Management (Head Count Budget)
• Liaison with stakeholders (eg. Mine Planning, Site Execution, Central Teams) for budget development and data validation 
• Identify opportunities to reduce OpEx and CapEx for leadership

 
Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor of Commerce or Accounting preferred
• Minimum 5+ years commercial accounting / cost controller experience in a mine-site environment
• Experience in building and managing budgets
• Exposure to mining equipment (fixed or mobile plant)
• SAP expertise
• Can build / maintain Power BI Dashboards
