We are seeking an experienced Academic Advisor to provide comprehensive guidance and support to our company-sponsored students in Australia. This role is crucial in fostering the academic success of our students and ensuring they receive the best possible advice throughout their educational journey.
About the Role:
As an Academic Advisor, you will evaluate students’ academic performance, assist with program selection, and ensure compliance with our training program criteria. You will be the go-to person for college counseling, personal development advice, and logistical support for new arrivals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Discuss and evaluate students’ grades and academic performance.
- Conduct semiannual formal evaluations and provide written reports.
- Review tuition invoices, verify accuracy, and liaise with financial advisors on issues.
- Ensure students adhere to their degree plans and discuss class schedules.
- Guide graduating students through the departure process.
- Address health-related issues impacting academic status.
- Resolve academic challenges in collaboration with university staff.
- Respond to policy and guideline inquiries.
- Coordinate pre-departure packages and orientations for new students.
- Advise on long-term accommodation options in Australia.
- Visit campuses regularly to meet with students and staff.
- Maintain communication with students to monitor progress.
- Offer emergency support and work on T&D initiatives with Australian universities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Arts or Science.
- At least 5 years of experience in student advisory/counseling roles.
- Advisory/counseling certification or equivalent.
- Experience with international students is preferred.
