We’re seeking an organised and proactive Project Officer to support the delivery of high-priority initiatives within Critical Minerals Queensland – including the Queensland Resources Common User Facility (QRCUF). This role is pivotal in driving procurement, governance, and project coordination that underpins Queensland’s critical minerals industry growth.

You’ll join a dynamic team within the Department of Natural Resources and Mines, Manufacturing, and Regional and Rural Development, working on projects that strengthen Queensland’s position in the global resources sector.


Your key responsibilities include:

  • Providing administration, procurement, and project support for significant industry development projects.
  • Coordinating governance activities, reporting, and risk management for the business area.
  • Managing end-to-end procurement processes, including raising purchase orders and processing invoices in SAP.
  • Supporting digital process improvements using tools such as SharePoint, MS Forms, and Power BI.
  • Delivering research and analysis to inform strategic and operational decisions.

About You:
You’re detail-oriented, collaborative, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You bring strong organisational skills, procurement knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

You’ll bring:
  • Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in procurement and contract management (Queensland Government experience highly regarded).
  • Confidence using systems and digital tools to improve processes.
  • Ability to build strong relationships and work as part of a team.
