About the Role
Our client is seeking skilled Administrative Officers (APS5 Equivalent) and Senior Administrative Officers (APS6 Equivalent) to join the Business Operations Branch. These roles provide essential support through contract management, governance, reporting, and stakeholder engagement. You’ll work in small, collaborative teams and contribute to outcomes that directly support veterans and their families.
Key Responsibilities
APS5 Administrative Officer
- Provide administrative, governance, and reporting support.
- Manage low to medium risk contracts, including documentation and record keeping.
- Monitor performance, risks, and compliance with procurement policies.
- Support the preparation of reports, submissions, and correspondence.
- Build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
- Manage and evaluate low to medium risk contracts and categories.
- Develop procurement documentation and contract management plans.
- Analyse expenditure, performance, and risks, ensuring value-for-money outcomes.
- Provide advice on procurement policies and resolve complex issues.
- Lead stakeholder engagement and represent the Branch in forums.
- Mentor team members and support branch-wide processes.
APS5
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with high attention to detail.
- Contract and/or project support experience.
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in procurement and contract management.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of government procurement frameworks and policies.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and support team outcomes.
- Stakeholder management and negotiation experience.
