Waste Services Manager

We’re on the lookout for a Soft Services Manager with strong, hands-on waste experience to lead the delivery of Waste, Pest & Hygiene services across a large national portfolio.
 
While this role covers all three service streams, waste is the key focus – so we’re after someone who’s spent time on the ground in operational environments, understands the complexities of waste contracts, and can spot inefficiencies that others might miss.
 
What you’ll be doing:

• Leading subcontracted delivery of Waste, Pest and Hygiene services across a multi-site portfolio
• Managing day-to-day operational issues and escalations, particularly in waste
• Reviewing scopes of work to ensure compliance, cost-efficiency, and practicality
• Working with the commercial team to implement improved contract frameworks, KPIs and SLAs
• Running regular vendor governance meetings with a focus on continuous improvement
• Building strong internal and external relationships and becoming a trusted point of contact for all things soft services

• Hands-on experience in waste service delivery – ideally across large or complex sites
• Ability to identify risks, operational gaps, or inefficiencies from first-hand experience
• Strong understanding of vendor management and subcontractor performance frameworks
• Confident communicator who builds trust with internal teams and external providers
• Experience working across multiple sites or within a national footprint preferred
