South Perth Based Role | 6 - 12 Month Contract

Are you a Technical Writer keen to utilise your expertise, playing a pivotal role in assisting with technical writing and documentation writing updates, and available for an immediate start?
 
Role Overview:
 
We are partnering with one of Australia’s leading resources companies, to secure the services of an experienced Technical Writer for a site-based role, South Perth.  The project of building out our client’s management framework and writing environmental conditions, legislative data, compliance matters into their management framework documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop and maintain a high standard of technical documents produced.
  • Develop troubleshooting guide / work instructions for Safety Functions recovery / bypass.
  • Develop troubleshooting guide / work instructions for components changeout.
  • Editing and revising documentations to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
  • Work collaboratively with plant SMEs to gather technical information from site assets and lead the review and approval process for all site technical.
  • Working with the engineering and maintenance team, you will collaborate closely with engineers and technicians to ensure documentation is comprehensive and accurate, and meeting client requirements.
  • Translating intricate technical details into user-friendly language for diverse audiences.
 
Skills Required:
  • Proven experience in technical writing, ideally in a mining, heavy industry, or capital project environment.
  • A strong commitment to producing accurate, well-structured, and user-focused documentation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software platforms or document management systems.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams.
  • An understanding of compliance, safety, and operational standards in an industrial setting is highly regarded.
