Technical Writer – Mining | FIFO 2/2 Roster | 6-Month Contract + Extension Potential

We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join one of Australia’s leading gold producers on a 6-month labour hire contract, with the potential for extension based on performance.

This FIFO role operates on a 2/2 roster and is open to candidates flying from Perth, Brisbane, or Darwin.

About the Role: As a Technical Writer, you’ll be responsible for creating high-quality digital maintenance documentation for a major mining operation. You’ll work closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure content accuracy, clarity, and compliance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and publish detailed technical maintenance documents for digital platforms.
  
  
• Ensure documents follow company policies, procedures, and style guides.
  
  
• Collaborate with SMEs to produce accurate and user-focused content.
  
  

What You’ll Need to Succeed:

• Proven experience in technical writing within the mining industry – essential.
  
  
• Mechanical or electrical trade qualification – essential.
  
  
• Strong background in developing large-scale maintenance documentation.
  
  
• Excellent written communication and attention to detail.
  
  
• Ability to apply adult learning principles to technical writing.
  
  
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-output environment.
