About the RoleWe're looking for a technically skilled and customer-focused HR professional to join our close-knit People Services team. In this key role, you'll lead the management and administration of our Human Resources Information System (Aurion) and play a vital part in integrating our people systems across the organisation.
You’ll oversee day-to-day system functions, support business areas with troubleshooting, and work directly with vendors on system issues and upgrades. You'll also develop reporting and analytics to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement.
This is a hands-on role that blends HR systems expertise with collaboration, problem-solving, and process enhancement. You’ll work closely with payroll and other People Services teams to ensure efficient service delivery and support organisational success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain the Aurion HRMIS, including system enhancements and integration with other Reef Authority systems
- Support users by resolving queries, troubleshooting issues, and liaising with external vendors
- Deliver workforce data analysis and reporting using tools like Power BI
- Maintain system documentation, security, and compliance
- Collaborate on system improvements, upgrades, and implementation of new modules
- Lead and mentor a small team, fostering capability in a high-energy environment
- Work on broader HR projects and provide temporary support to other People Services functions as needed
You’ll bring:
- In-depth experience with Aurion or similar HRMIS, including system configuration and enhancements
- Strong knowledge of HR processes and pay-related legislation
- Analytical skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A proactive, customer-focused mindset and the ability to lead system improvements
- Experience with Power BI and HR data reporting tools
