About the Client:

Our client is a Government agency tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for thousands of individuals and families across Australia. Currently seeking for multiple Service Designers to join their busy team for a casual 12-months temporary assignment.


About the Role

As a Service Designer, you will be part of a team that design and deliver service improvements to provide quality client outcomes and enhance their experience. In addition, your key duties are as follows:

  • Research and identify insights
  • Co-create and document current state service through design and research
  • Co-create and co-facilitate process design improvements.
  • Advocate for the voice and experience of clients and stakeholders through work processes.
  • Co-facilitate design-thinking sessions with service users to design and test future service processes, channel and experiences.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of the role and functions of the organisation and the related impacts across work areas.
  • Oversee end-to-end service experiences in line with the Digital Service Standard
  • Contribute to the evaluation of proposed solutions and design at both a conceptual and tactical level.

 
About You

To be successful in this role, you must have:
  • Demonstrated experience in Service Design or similar roles, ideally within the disability, social services, or public sector 
  • Experience with human centred design, user research, persona development, and journey mapping
  • Ability to lead co-design sessions with stakeholders and users
  • Proficiency with digital design tools such as Miro, Figma, Creately, Mural, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience with Jira, Sharepoint, MS Suite, Qualtrics, or other comparable design tools
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies like Agile or Kanban
