Senior iOS developer

Our client AGL is seeking a Senior iOS Developer for a six-month contract to help shape the future of energy through innovative mobile solutions. Based in Melbourne CBD with a flexible hybrid working model, this role offers the opportunity to work on impactful customer-facing applications within a scaled agile environment.

🔍 About the Role

As a Senior iOS Developer, you’ll be responsible for the design, development, and deployment of AGL's mobile applications. You’ll work within cross-functional agile teams to deliver seamless digital experiences, collaborating across the technology stack including digital, SAP, and data platforms.

This role is pivotal in enabling transformational customer experiences and driving technical excellence across our mobile platforms.

 

🛠 Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop features for the mobile app using Swift, UIKit and SwiftUI
• Implement architectural enhancements to ensure app stability, performance, and maintainability
• Write high-quality unit and UI tests using XCTest and Swift Testing
• Collaborate with product owners to translate requirements into functional solutions
• Contribute to CI/CD processes using Azure Pipelines and other tools
• Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of continuous improvement
• Participate in agile ceremonies and cross-team collaboration within the release train

 

🎯 Skills & Experience

• Proven iOS development experience with UIKit and SwiftUI
• Proven track record of shipping apps, ideally available on the App Store
• Strong understanding of Apple Human Interface Guidelines (HIG)
• Proficienct in Swift and modern iOS development practices
• Experience with RxSwift or Combine
• Familiarity with CI tools (Azure, BuildKite, Bamboo)
• Exposure to cross-platform frameworks (React Native or Flutter) is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Experience with Figma and test-driven development preferred
