Senior Conveyancing Officer / Settlement Officer – 12-Month WA Government Contract
Work on large-scale property development and land transactions that shape WA’s future.
We’re seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Conveyancing Officer (also known as a Settlement Officer or Property Officer) to join a Perth-based WA Government agency on a 12-month contract. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with strong experience in real estate settlements, land acquisition, and conveyancing who is looking to work on high-value public sector property projects.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate property sales and land acquisitions in line with government processes
- Manage property settlements and track progress using in-house systems
- Liaise with buyers, sales agents, legal teams, and financial institutions
- Conduct electronic settlements using PEXA and manage lodgements with Landgate
- Prepare accurate settlement statements and rate/tax adjustments
- Resolve queries related to contract conditions, mortgage registration, and settlement timelines
- Maintain electronic records using Clarity, Objective, and Map Viewer
- Ensure compliance with property legislation, government policies, and internal protocols
- 3–5+ years’ experience in property conveyancing, real estate settlements, or land transactions
- Proficient in PEXA, Landgate systems, and understanding land subdivision processes
- Ability to interpret Contracts of Sale, encumbrances, and standard conveyancing documentation
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with government or public sector conveyancing is highly regarded
