Safety Advisor - Renewables
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Safety Advisor for a renewable energy assignment with our client specializing in large-scale solar and battery projects. As a Safety Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe delivery of renewable energy projects while maintaining compliance with all safety regulations and company standards. This is an immediate requirement based in Port Broughton with travel to site on a 6-1-4-3 roster. Initially a short-term opportunity with the potential for a full-time role for the right candidate.
Responsibilities:
- Providing safety advisory services for renewable energy projects including solar farms, solar and battery projects, and hybrid developments
- Developing project risk documentation and contributing to EPC tender concepts, early design input, estimation, and project schedule development
- Interfacing with subcontractors, clients, and stakeholders on safety management matters while delivering safety information through toolbox talks
- Reviewing subcontractor documentation for compliance and conducting or participating in safety audits and incident investigations as required
- Assisting with Quality Assurance activities and logistics coordination for safe equipment deliveries
- Full working rights in Australia and availability for 6-1-4-3 roster work
- Own vehicle and valid Australian driver's license with Construction White Card
- Proven Safety Advisor experience in renewable energy or large-scale construction projects (3+ years minimum)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in team environments with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders
- Understanding of health, safety and environmental management in project delivery with self-starter capabilities
- Proficient computer skills (Google suite experience preferred)
- Diploma of WHS or Cert IV in WHS (minimum requirement) and current First Aid Certificate
- Ability to pass pre-employment checks including police clearance and drug/alcohol screening
- Cert IV in Training & Assessment
- Previous renewable energy project experience
- Construction industry background
