Recruitment Assistant

About the role:
As a Recruitment Assistant, you will work closely with hiring managers, labour agencies, and supervisors to manage the entire recruitment cycle. Key responsibilities include:

• Liaising with supervisors and managers regarding labour vacancies
• Assisting with the end-to-end recruitment process, partnering with candidates, hiring managers, and labour agencies
• Scheduling and attending interviews alongside management and labour agencies
• Managing employee onboarding and offboarding processes, providing support and guidance where needed
• Overseeing the completion and transfer process for employees reaching 500 hours
• Conducting visa checks for new hires using Vsure to ensure compliance with legal requirements
• Drafting expressions of interest for internal and external roles
• Performing ad-hoc administrative tasks to keep the recruitment team running smoothly

About You
You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have recent experience supporting recruitment processes, ideally within large or high-volume workplaces. You’re highly organised, and confident working with both internal teams and external partners. Bonus points if you’ve worked in recruitment within the food or manufacturing industry! Additionally, you have:

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
• Experience or knowledge of recruitment processes in the food industry (highly desirable)
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with strong attention to detail
• Reliable transport to the Tamworth site
• Full Australian working rights (citizenship or permanent residency required)
