Projects Engineer

As a Project Engineer within the Engineering Modifications & Operations Projects (M&OPs) team, you will support the successful delivery of a range of critical projects across the Mining, Civil and Environmental portfolios. Reporting to the Portfolio Lead, you will work closely with a Project Manager to deliver projects safely, efficiently and in alignment with business objectives.

• This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle, with a clear development pathway towards a future Project Manager position.
• This is a site-based role on a 5/2 roster with flexible travel arrangements (FIFO/DIDO), including the option to work from the Brisbane office or from home on Fridays.

Key Responsibilities:

- Support the Project Manager in delivering small capital projects 
- Assist in developing project scopes, schedules, budgets, risk assessments and other documentation.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress and performance, escalating risks and deviations as needed.
- Contribute to project documentation, including business cases, technical reviews and change control processes.
- Participate in field leadership activities, hazard reporting and safety initiatives.
- Support continuous improvement through the Operating System.
- Provide technical input during design reviews, procurement, and construction phases.
- Demonstrate a team-oriented mindset with a drive to get things done, a curious approach to learning and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving.
- Engage in team routines and contribute to department-wide initiatives and knowledge sharing.
- Build capability in project management tools and practices to support future career progression.
