Division: Major Projects – 12 month contract
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Project Superintendent
to oversee and manage construction contractor activities across major works projects. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, this role is key to ensuring contractor performance aligns with Port standards, safety requirements, and project objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate on-site construction contractorS
- Liaise with internal stakeholders, including operations, tenants, and customers
- Monitor contractor performance, scope delivery, WHS compliance, and quality assurance
- Ensure construction activities comply with contracts, specifications, and industry best practices
- Manage and report on safety, variations, testing, inspections, and acceptance of works
- Support project planning, scheduling, and risk management within a brownfields industrial environment
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in project management or construction supervision
- Trade or tertiary qualifications in Civil, Building, or Construction
- Strong coordination and leadership skills in industrial construction environments
- Solid experience in contract management, construction scopes, and budget estimates
- Working knowledge of WHS regulations, Australian Standards, and high-risk construction activities
- Proven stakeholder engagement experience across multiple parties
- Desirable qualifications in Contract Administration and/or Project Management
