About the Client:
Government department tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for thousands of individuals and families across Australia. Currently seeking for a talented Project Officer - Strategy to join their busy team for a casual 12 months temporary assignment.
About the Role
As a Project Officer - Strategy, you will ensure projects and initiatives align to the organisation priorities and you will provide insights and solutions through a flexible approach, in partnership with stakeholders. In addition, your key duties are as follows:
- Gather and develop structured insights and recommendations to address complex problems within strategic projects.
- Draft components of materials for internal and external stakeholders to communicate perspectives, recommendations, and implications for the Agency.
- Present recommendations and facilitating discussions with a range of Agency stakeholders and leadership.
- Assist and support regular strategy reporting including status updates and exception reports.
- Support the development and management of project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency’s project management framework.
- Support stakeholder event preparation and logistics (including but not limited to setting meetings, distributing correspondences, developing communication products, development of meeting minutes, and providing procedural and administrative support to senior staff).
- Support desktop research and review, conduct qualitative and quantitative analyses, and develop content briefs to support project deliverables
About You
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Proven experience in a similar Project Management role, ideally in the public sector industry
- Experience supporting the development and management of project plans, schedules, and reporting in line with established project management frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to present recommendations and facilitate discussion with senior executives
