Project Manager
Location: Canberra ACT
Work Type: 12 months with a potential extension
Clearance: Minimum NV1 clearance and willing to undertake NV2 clearance 

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in Defence project management to join our dynamic team. This role will involve leading complex projects within the Land Domain, delivering outcomes in alignment with the One Defence Capability Model. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, ensuring successful project delivery within established frameworks such as PRINCE2, MSP, P30, or AGILE.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and deliver Defence projects within the One Defence Capability Model environment.

  • Manage multidisciplinary engineering teams of up to 25 people, including employees and subcontractors, across disparate locations.

  • Apply PRINCE2, MSP, P30, or AGILE frameworks to ensure project success.

  • Collaborate with multi-discipline teams, including Army/Defence Project teams or Program Management Offices.

  • Drive project outcomes in complex, high-stakes environments, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Minimum of 8 years of industry experience in project management.

  • Proven experience delivering projects within PRINCE2, MSP, P30, or AGILE process frameworks.

  • Strong background in D efence project management processes, preferably within the Land Domain.

  • Demonstrated experience working within and leading multi-discipline teams.

  • Experience managing or contributing to Army/Defence Project teams or Program Management Offices, or equivalent complex civilian organisations.

  • Expertise in managing multidisciplinary engineering teams of up to 25 people, including employees and subcontractors, across multiple locations.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable
  • Knowledge of the One Defence Capability Model.

  • Experience in Defence or large-scale civilian projects of similar size and complexity.
