About the Role
Program Officers provide essential support for the delivery of the agency’s programs. You will contribute to strategic planning, policy development, and the implementation of innovative workplace practices. You will also play a vital role in fostering relationships with stakeholders to ensure the consistent delivery of program services.
The key duties of the role are:
- Implementing programs administered by the agency.
- Liaising and negotiating with stakeholders to deliver program services and increase the agency’s profile.
- Managing teams, including directing work, mentoring, and coaching.
- Providing advice, procedural guidance, and administrative support.
- Monitoring and reporting on business outcomes, KPIs, and quality assurance.
- Encouraging innovation and supporting change management initiatives.
- Contributing to policy reviews and developing new policies and guidelines.
- Drafting various documents, including business cases, reports, and executive briefs.
- Conducting research and analysis on program activities and milestones.
- Exercising delegations in line with legislation and guidelines.
- Effective communication and relationship-building skills.
- A collaborative mindset and ability to engage diverse groups.
- Strong organizational and workload management abilities.
- Proven skills in mentoring and supporting team members.
- Analytical and research capabilities with sound decision-making skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of programs and services administered by the agency.
- Knowledge of program and project management frameworks and policies.
- Awareness of diversity, cultural sensitivities, and relevant legislation.
- Familiarity with agency service models, privacy, ethics, and workplace health and safety protocols.
- Proficiency with relevant business systems and tools.
