About the Client:

Government department tasked with making life easier, accessible, and equitable for thousands of individuals and families across Australia. Currently seeking for a Operations Officer to join their busy team for a casual 12 months temporary assignment.


About the Role
The Operations Officer will have a considerable level of contact with internal and external stakeholders and will be required to communicate with and provide advice on a range of matters to resolve moderately complex to complex enquiries
In addition, your key duties are as follows:
• Providing secretariat support for all Home and Living decisions.
• Supporting Agency teams with Home and Living enquiries.
• Resolving issues and complaints in relation to home and living applications.
• Leading and contributing to the implementation of process improvement initiatives.
• Managing, collating, interpreting and analysing data to produce reports and dashboards that inform strategic and operational planning.
• Contributing to the achievement of key performance indicators, including planning targets.
• Monitoring and actioning correspondence, assigning and actioning internal work items.
• Coaching, mentoring staff and providing support on established technical, operational and administrative activities, procedures, practices and program/project objectives



 
About You

  • Experience working in operational or administrative roles within government or large organisations.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage, interpret and present data to support strategic and operational outcomes.
  • Proven ability to work independently under limited supervision while also contributing effectively to a team environment.
  • Confidence in engaging with internal and external stakeholders, providing clear advice and resolving complex enquiries.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including experience in preparing reports, correspondence, and briefing material.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and support team members, including the ability to set priorities and allocate tasks.

  • $55.24 per hour + super
