Our client is a well-known State Government agency who are passionate about making NSW a better place to live, work and visit. An exciting opportunity now exists for an experienced Mechanical Tradesperson to join their dynamic team in Port Macquarie! 

The Role:

  • Safely undertake a range of duties to maintain and repair plant items, vehicles and mechanical equipment.
  • Perform a wide range of routine and complex labouring/ manual tasks, including the use of a variety of small plant and powered and non-powered hand tools, to assist with the completion of work activities. Work is completed under limited supervision and may be done in a team environment or independently.
  • Conduct safety checks on all plant used, complete basic maintenance such as refuelling and checking fluid and maintain records and reports to ensure the safe use of plant items
  • Solve routine problems that arise, referring to standard guidelines and manuals and collaborate with supervisors and managers to resolve complex problems to ensure risks are minimised and work goals are achieved.

  • Casual pay rate: $49.57 per hour + super and applicable allowances
  • Working hours: 0600 – 1500 (9-day fortnight)

Essential requirements:
  • Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Trades Qualification
  • Current Construction Industry White Card
  • Current unrestricted NSW motor vehicle driver's license
  • MR Licence highly regarded
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems and work independently
