Maintenance Electrician

Chandler Macleod is currently seeking a dedicated Maintenance Electrician to join the team at Baiada’s Country Road Hatchery in Tamworth.

• Competitive salary package
• Monday to Friday roster 2:30AM and 9:00AM, on call once a week every 4 weeks
• Permanent full-time position

About the role
As a Maintenance Electrician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of our plant machinery. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating in the development of work plans and schedules to meet project timelines and requirements.
• Ensuring all electrical work complies with industry standards and regulations.
• Identifying and implementing improvements in work procedures to boost safety and operational efficiency within the department.
• Performing electrical work for projects focused on enhancing plant and equipment efficiency and availability.
• Responding swiftly to breakdowns, malfunctions, and operational issues to minimize disruptions to manufacturing processes.

About You
We are seeking a proactive, trade-qualified professional with a hands-on approach and strong teamwork ethic. To succeed in this role, you will have:

• A trade qualification as an Electrician along with experience working in a maintenance team within a manufacturing environment, preferably within the intensive food processing industry
• A strong commitment to safety and meeting work responsibilities.
• A current driver’s license.
• A desire for long-term career development.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Full Australian working rights (citizenship or permanent residency).
• Self-motivation with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong decision-making skills, particularly under pressure

You’ll also bring a mechanical mindset, a commitment to safety, and the flexibility to work across rotating shifts, including public holidays.
