Maintenance Electrician

About the role:
As a Maintenance Electrician, you will play a vital role in maintaining and repairing plant machinery to support smooth, safe, and efficient operations. Key responsibilities include:

• Performing repairs and preventative maintenance on plant equipment and machinery
• Ensuring all tasks are completed safely and in accordance with Baiada’s standards and systems
• Working closely with the Maintenance Manager, Plant Manager, and other supervisors and leading hands
• Carrying out maintenance work in line with Baiada's operational and compliance requirements

About You:
Proactive, trade-qualified professional with a hands-on approach and strong teamwork ethic. To succeed in this role, you will have:

• A trade qualification as an Electrician (required) along with experience working in a maintenance team within a manufacturing environment, preferably within the intensive food processing industry
• Strong decision-making skills, particularly under pressure
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• The ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• A desire for long-term career development
• Full Australian working rights (citizenship or permanent residency)

You’ll also bring a mechanical mindset, a commitment to safety, and the flexibility to work across rotating shifts—including weekends and public holidays.

Benefits to you:

• $47.10 per hour + weekend penalties & allowances
• 12 hour shifts - 4 days on 4 days off
• Opportunity for permanency following successful probation
