A leading legal assistance organisation is seeking a passionate Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Lawyer
to advocate for justice, empower communities, and provide culturally safe legal support. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact
by delivering high-quality legal services
to First Nations clients while collaborating with key stakeholders to improve access to justice.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal advice and representation to First Nations clients.
- Engage with communities through outreach, education, and advocacy initiatives.
- Diagnose and assess legal issues, ensuring clients receive the right assistance.
- Collaborate with legal teams and external partners to strengthen legal support networks.
- Champion legal rights and social justice for First Nations Australians.
Skills & Experience

- This is a special measures role and only Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples are eligible to apply, as per the Equal Opportunity Act 2010.
- Valid Australian practising certificate for government legal practice.
- Strong advocacy, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in community engagement, legal assistance, or social justice initiatives.
- Knowledge of First Nations community services
