Our client, a large public sector organisation, is undertaking a significant, multi-year transformation to improve how its $2B annual capital works program is governed and delivered. With a $40B asset base, this is a rare opportunity to influence how critical infrastructure is managed across Queensland.
To support this transformation, they are now seeking an Infrastructure Project Delivery Specialist to lead improvements in project lifecycle processes and strengthen delivery capability across the infrastructure portfolio.
Key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:
- Provide subject matter expertise across project delivery, governance, and risk
- Interpret and apply relevant QLD frameworks to support lifecycle improvements
- Contribute to the development and implementation of a standardised Project Lifecycle Framework
- Develop tools, templates, and guidance to improve delivery consistency across programs
- Engage and collaborate with internal teams to embed improved practices across the portfolio
- Support the transition from Waterfall to Agile methodologies with practical planning and structure
What we’re looking for:
- Background in infrastructure delivery, advisory, or governance within government or large public organisations
- Experience in government business transformation programs, particularly in capital works
- Strong understanding of procurement, capital planning, and assurance processes
- Build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels – impeccable written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to pragmatically identify root causes and deliver effective solutions
- Familiarity with Queensland Government infrastructure delivery models is highly regarded
