Project Officer – Workforce (HR Projects & Advisory)
Location:  East Melbourne 
Pay Rate / Level: VPS4 equivalent
Contract Type:  6 months, full-time

We are seeking a proactive Project Officer – Workforce to join a fast-paced and high-performing HR team supporting a major transformation-focused energy group within government.
This role offers a mix of HR advisory, workforce projects, and reporting, with a strong focus on stakeholder engagement and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide timely and accurate advice on HR and recruitment matters in line with policy and procedures.
• Support and contribute to projects such as mobility programs, workforce planning, and change initiatives.
• Draft clear, well-structured materials to support key people-focused initiatives.
• Build strong internal relationships to develop practical workforce solutions.
• Monitor, analyse and report on workforce data to inform decision-making.
• Identify and recommend improvements to HR processes and practices.

About You:

• Experienced HR generalist or advisor with a background in HR projects.
• Confident communicator with strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work autonomously and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Previous experience in the public sector or within a complex, high-volume organisation is desirable.

Additional Requirements:

• National Police Check required
• Knowledge of the Victorian Public Sector environment is highly regarded
