Are you an experienced  HSE Advisor seeking your next long term temp contract on mining sustaining capital projects, responsible for supporting the Health, Safety and Emergency Services programs and systems to ensure they are efficiently and effectively implemented on-site?

About the role
Across multiple sites in the WA Pilbara, we are required to sourced several HSE Advisors on varying brownfields and mining expansion projects, for one of our key IO producer clients, kicking off in mid-August, on an 8:6 roster ex-Perth, on an initial 12 month temp contract.
 
Key Responsibilities:

• Lead by example by championing our Health & Safety standards and expectations.
• Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations
• Ensure compliance with WA safety legislation and company policies
• Support fundamental Health, Safety and Emergency Services (HSES) initiatives, training and coaching for key activities and processes, such as Pre-Start Meetings / Safe Shift Starts, Quality Safety Interactions (QSI), Critical Risk Management (CRM), and other Leadership in Field (LiF) programs
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on HSE matters

• Provide incident management and investigation guidance to ensure alignment to HSEQ standards
• Coach and support first line assurance programs to verify compliance and control performance to company systems, procedures and standards.

What We Need From You:

• Cert IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent)
• Proven experience as an HSE Advisor on brownfields projects within the mining | heavy industry sector
• Greater than 10 years in similar field or position
• Strong understanding of WA HSE legislation and mining safety requirements
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Experience in incident investigation and risk management
• Ability to influence and drive a safety-first culture
