Are you passionate about making a difference in the renewable energy sector? This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in a major renewable energy project. We’re looking for an experienced and proactive HSE Advisor to join a large-scale solar farm project located approximately 2.5 hours south of Mackay.
About the Role
As a site-based, front-line HSE Advisor, you will be instrumental in supporting the safe and sustainable delivery of this project. This hands-on role involves guiding field operations and ensuring strict adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards across all activities.
Key Responsibilities:
As an HSE Advisor, you will:
- Lead HSE Delivery: Positively influence and educate site workers in safe practices; implement and monitor HSE systems to enhance performance and reduce risk.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Analyse performance trends and recommend practical improvements; actively participate in site HSE Committees.
- Provide Site Leadership: Lead project audits, conduct risk assessments, and manage incident investigations to a high standard.
- Engage and Communicate: Deliver clear and concise HSE messaging through toolbox talks, inductions, and everyday site interactions.
- Problem Solve Effectively: Identify root causes of issues and implement logical, practical solutions using a structured approach.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certificate IV in Health and Safety and/or Environmental (mandatory)
- Minimum 3 years of site-based HSE experience on construction projects
- Background in power industry or utilities construction (advantageous)
- Strong knowledge of HSE legislation and its practical application
- Proficient in documentation, reporting, and stakeholder communication
