Our client is seeking a dedicated Horticulture Labourer to assist in the maintenance and enhancement of parks, gardens, and recreational areas. This position plays an essential role in maintaining the aesthetic and functional quality of open spaces, providing excellent customer service, and working as part of a committed team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the horticultural maintenance of parks, gardens, and recreational areas.
  • Provide high-level customer service, addressing inquiries and complaints.
  • Operate horticultural tools, machinery, and plant safely and effectively.
  • Undertake routine chemical spraying and vegetation management.
  • Assist with the repair and maintenance of horticultural equipment.
  • Participate in safety and risk management practices to ensure safe and efficient operations.
About You:
You’re an individual who:
  • Demonstrates a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Holds a Class C driver’s license (manual transmission experience is a must).
  • Has experience in horticultural labouring, including the operation of zero-turn mowers and small machinery.
  • Communicates well, both verbally and in writing.
  • Works well both independently and within a team to meet goals and deadlines.
  • Understands and adheres to Work Health and Safety (WHS) and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) principles.
Desirable Skills:
  • Digital literacy and competence with devices (e.g., tablet, smartphone).
  • Experience operating minor plant items like chainsaws and ride-on mowers.
  • Chemical Handling or Traffic Controller tickets.
  • White Card (Work Safely in the Construction Industry induction).
