Are you a skilled and reliable Fitter/Machinist looking to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment? We’re seeking a motivated individual to join our team and play a key role in the maintenance and production of building materials.

About the Role: As a Fitter/Machinist, you will be responsible for the assembly, fitting, and machining of components used in the manufacturing processes. You’ll work closely with our production and engineering teams to ensure machinery and components are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
  • Set up and operate machinery
  • Assemble and fit mechanical components 
  • Fault finding repair
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical equipment
  • Ensure compliance with workplace safety and quality standards
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes
  • Compliance to all the site WHSE policies and procedures
Requirements:
  • Australian trade qualification as a Fitter/Machinist or equivalent
  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or heavy industry environment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Proficiency in operating both manual and CNC machines
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Commitment to workplace health and safety practices
  • Ability to commit to a 24/7 roster
  • Computer literacy
Desirable:
  • Forklift ticket
  • Welding experience
