Finance Officer

Chandler Macleod is proud to be partnering with a respected organisation based in Brisbane CBD to recruit a motivated and career-driven Finance Officer.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a solid background in accounts receivable, invoicing, and collections —particularly with large corporate and government clients—who’s also eager to grow their career within a supportive and high-performing finance team.
The role offers hybrid working arrangements and exposure to broader financial reporting and accounting functions, making it ideal for someone who’s looking to take the next step and develop their skill set further.


Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and issue accurate, timely invoices
• Manage collections from large clients, including follow-ups on overdue payments
• Reconcile accounts receivable and maintain accurate records
• Provide aged receivables reports and assist with cash flow forecasting
• Be the main point of contact for customer/vendor invoicing and payment queries
• Oversee and follow up on the Purchase Order (PO) process
• Liaise with internal teams to resolve payment delays or issues
• Support month-end close processes, including reconciliations and reporting
• Assist with audits, financial analysis, and broader accounting tasks

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in accounts receivable, invoicing, and collections
• Comfortable dealing with high-volume corporate and government accounts
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and ledger processes
• Proficiency in accounting systems (MS Great Plains or similar is a plus)
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Highly motivated, eager to learn, and looking to grow professionally
• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
