Electrician – Test & Calibration Services
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrician
to join our clients Laboratory team on an 8-month contract, delivering specialist test and calibration services for electricity meters and hand-held instrumentation. If you have a background in electrical systems and a passion for precision work, we want to hear from you.
About the Role
As an Electrician in the Test and Calibration team, you will be responsible for the accurate checking, calibration, and/or re-verification of metering equipment and instrumentation. Your work will ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications to accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out testing, calibration, and verification of metering equipment and instruments.
- Adhere to all relevant regulatory, industry, and accreditation requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of calibration results and procedures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues effectively and independently.
- Manage workload to meet deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Collaborate with team members to support a safe and efficient laboratory environment.
Experience and Skills
- Proven experience in testing and calibration operations within an electrical or metrology setting.
- Strong technical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and capable of handling complex workloads.
- Strong attention to detail and time management.
- Competent in using computer systems and business applications.
- Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (or equivalent).
- General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
- Ability to maintain all required licences, authorisations, and certifications relevant to the role.
- Current Driver’s Licence.
