Are you an experienced Conveyancing Officer looking to work on high-impact land and property development projects with a WA Government agency? We’re seeking a detail-oriented and proactive professional to join a respected government department for a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing land sales and acquisitions in line with government policies and procedures
- Monitoring settlements using in-house systems to ensure accurate forecasts
- Negotiating with internal stakeholders, buyers, and external agents on settlement-related matters
- Preparing and reconciling settlement statements, including rates and taxes adjustments
- Lodging legal documents and conducting electronic settlements via PEXA
- Coordinating variations, substitute purchasers, and removing encumbrances
- Maintaining records using systems such as Clarity and Objective
- Handling customer enquiries and ensuring compliance with contract conditions post-settlement
- Assisting financial institutions with mortgage registration and refinances
- Liaising with settlement agents, sales officers, real estate professionals, legal counsel, and Landgate
- Ensuring full compliance with internal policies and external legislative requirements
- 3-5 years’ experience in property conveyancing, including preparation of complex documents
- Strong working knowledge of PEXA, Landgate systems, and land subdivision processes
- The ability to interpret Contracts of Sale, standard conditions, and relevant legislation
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- Confidence using digital tools such as Map Viewer, Clarity, and Objective
- Experience in a values-aligned government or public sector environment is desirable
- Work on high-value property and land development contracts
