Our client, a Queensland Government department, is seeking a Procurement Officer to support the delivery of value-driven procurement initiatives and contract management processes. This full-time, 6-month contract role is based in Berrinba and offers an hourly rate of $66.86 + super, working as part of the department’s Business Services team.
The successful candidate will contribute to the planning and delivery of procurement activities across low to medium complexity projects, while supporting supplier performance, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Deliver low to medium value procurement projects in line with policy and governance
- Develop procurement plans and initiatives based on customer needs and priorities
- Monitor supplier performance and contribute to contract implementation activities
- Support supplier negotiations with relevant market and contract data
- Maintain procurement records, market insights, and benefit tracking documentation
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in procurement or contract administration within government or a regulated environment
- Familiarity with Queensland procurement frameworks and policies
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring compliance with process
- Strong working knowledge of supplier engagement and contract delivery
- Must be eligible to work in Australia and provide a recent Criminal History Check
