About the role
We have a new role for one of our key mining producer clients, seeking a seasoned Commercial Contract Administrator on a Brownfield mine expansion project, including the construction of haul road and earthworks which is currently in execution phase and expected completion in January 2026. 
  
What Will You Be Doing?
 
As Contract Administrator, administrator's role and responsibility include the following. 

  • Oversee contractors' contracts, variations, and claims. 
  • Track project costs, monitor budgets, and support forecasting
  • In consultation with the Project Manager, draft contract letters to align with the contract and respond to contractors' claims. 
  • Liaise with Project Manager and site teams to consolidate information on site for contract correspondence. 
  • Maintain commercial documentation, project reports, invoices and cost compliance
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Comfortable interpreting contractual information to stakeholders
  • Contribute to the project commercial strategy and risk minimization.

What Skill Set Do I Require?  
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Engineering, quantity surveying or a related field
  • Professional that has 5-10 years of relevant work experience
  • MUST have prior experience in a mining construction environment
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Good understanding of contracts and Legal framework within projects. 
  • Good knowledge of SAP software would be ideal
