Change & Training Analyst – 6-Month Contract

Location:  Honeysuckle, Newcastle (some hybrid work available)
Start Date:  ASAP
Duration:  6 months
Hours:  Full time, Monday–Friday (35-hour week)
Start Time:  Flexible between 7:00am – 8:30am (8-hour days)
Note:  Must be available from 6:30am for approx. 2–3 weeks during project go-live

We’re looking for an experienced Change & Training Analyst  to join a dynamic project team supporting a major system implementation. You’ll be a hands-on professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys rolling up your sleeves to create training content, build learning tools, and deliver face-to-face and virtual training to field-based teams.

About the Role:

This is a practical, delivery-focused role requiring a “doer” who can:

  • Develop and roll out engaging training materials and learning videos
  • Deliver training sessions to a mobile and office-based workforce
  • Support UAT and go-live activities
  • Be available onsite at multiple Newcastle-based locations (including Honeysuckle, North Lambton, and Tarro), particularly in the lead-up to and after go-live
Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and deliver training content tailored for various stakeholder groups
  • Assist with testing support, awareness sessions, and remote depot training
  • Develop key change artefacts such as impact assessments, briefing packs, and communications
  • Collaborate with technical teams to prepare training data, environments, and materials
  • Translate technical concepts into easy-to-understand training
  • Use Learning Management Systems (LMS) and design methods to evaluate training effectiveness
Essential Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in system implementations in roles such as Training Analyst, Change Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Business Analyst
  • Deep understanding of change management principles, project lifecycle, and methodologies
  • Strong experience working in large-scale IT projects and programs
  • Demonstrated experience delivering both in-person and online training
  • Ability to simplify complex technical information for diverse audiences
  • Experience with LMS and evaluating change/training effectiveness
Desirable:
  • Experience working in government or semi-government organisations
